Quartz Crystal Geode: 600 - 700 gram

There are two ways how geodes originate:

• Geodes can origin from vulcanic stone: Solvent components within hot lava form gaspockets. These pockets mineralize within the following tens to hundreds million years.
• Geodes can origin from sediment: Mineralization due to Water around an organic sedimentation nucleus.

Quartz geodes can grown up to 100 million years. All pieces are carefully cracked, the outside is cleaned, but remains raw.

Pictures show examples. Please note that each geode is unique and will vary slightly in color, shape, size and appearance. Geodes come from the same site, but may differ slightly. Small imperfections such as elliptical shape, cracks, changes in color and structure are to be expected due to age and natural origin.

This size is 600 to 700 gram per piece, which have an average diameter of about 9 to 10cm. Due to irregular natural shape the diameter does vary. Please, consider the actual weight for size comparision. Bigger and smaller sizes are available.

We only sell complete, cracked geodes. You will receive two matching halfs.
